WIP - Pseudo-Spider

Description

Recently purchased a Marvel Select "Amazing Spider-Man" figure, and was quite impressed with how Spidey's new costume looks. (I've been a long-running fan of Spider-Man since the first live-action film came out in the early 2000s.) Anyhow, I thought it'd be an interesting challenge to try and draw Spider Man, but after studying all those LINES of webbing... yeah, not happening. SO, I decided to try my hand at designing my own "Pseudo-Spider" style of costume, and perhaps a character to go along with it. Here's what I have so far. Drawn with pencil, inked, and colored using Sharpies of all things.

EDIT: Webbing added, drawing finished. (And yes, I'm aware the image is fuzzy. My scanner is inoperative right now.) What do y'all think?

Comments welcome and appreciated.

Spider-Man is (c) Marvel Comics.

Quite the interesting take on the costume! I'm a fan from back in the 1970s when he was on The Electric Company as motivation for kids to learn to read, plus the old cartoon series was being shown in reruns. Also, a very short-lived live-action TV series. Thank God for the Sam Raimi films, they really did him justice!
